Terra Futura is a new project that has been inaugurated in October 2022, first in Louisa L.’s hometown in Lorraine, France, before coming back to the United States. The main theme is the 17 Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations with the 2030 horizon.
Louisa L. has developed an original series of 17 paintings and has “augmented” them with short videos from middle schoolers and high schoolers who are sharing their hopes for our planet.
During the exhibition, visitors will first discover the artworks and will then be able to scan a QR Code guiding them to a video reel illustrating one of the 17 goals through the voices of students.

NewYorkHer is a unique art project combining painting and augmented reality to tell the stories of ten extraordinary New York immigrant women from different ethnicities. The NewYorkHer exhibit went across 2019 and was received with great success in New York, Cleveland, Dallas and Atlanta, and was featured on the PIX11 TV news.

The drive I find in painting has been coming from projects that carry purposes bigger than myself. They are meant to help others and shine a light on issues we can all play a part in resolving. Yet, with the ‘Colors of Life’ series, I believe I’ve been searching for myself, through my origins and roots as well as through grander women persona I would aspire to become. Far from being self-portraits, the 6 paintings all have a part of myself and when looking at them, reminds me to always be bold.

Mixing textures, shapes and bright colors, the Voyage in Gold series is an abstract expression of Louisa L.’s travels and experiences. The very large Eiffel Tower was originally exhibited for 8 months in the Roche-Bobois flagship store on Madison Avenue in New York City, before being sent to the Elysée Palace where it is now as part of Brigitte Macron’s collection.
